WWF’s Earth Hour is an unforgettable celebration for our brilliant world. We hope that in taking part this year you made it a night to remember!
We have heard from so many of our supporters that WWF’s Earth Hour usually ends up turning into multiple hours, because you’re having so much fun. So why stop? You can still make a charming night in with your loved ones one of your new traditions and use it to reconnect to each other and our beautiful planet! Here are some ideas for how to spend that hour…
Unplugged jam session at home

Invite your friends over and unplug while you enjoy some nice and personal live music.
Board game over candle light
Scrabble, Risk, Settlers, Monopoly or Chinese Checkers – its all about spending quality time with your loved ones, challenging your intellect and having a great time.
A bed time story, like in the old days

Light a candle to create a unique atmosphere and transform the bed time story you would read to your little one, into a fantastic journey of the imagination.
Explore the outdoors
Star gazing
Spend an evening of reflection under the stars. There are many incredible things to discover about the night sky and a perfect time to think about the role each of us play in the future of our world.
Reflect on the future, meditate or do a bit of yoga

Reflect on what you will do beyond the hour and make a commitment for Earth Hour by changing a habit in support for our brilliant world. Don’t be shy in sharing your ideas!
Wildlife walk
Organise and take part in a night-time wildlife walk and see what nocturnal creatures you can discover. Whether in a local forest or even just watching wildlife in your garden, there’s plenty to see (and hear) from earthworms, hedgehogs and foxes to moths and bats.
Unite for a brighter future
Use our map
You can use our map to see who took part or even better – you can find people in your area and organise a community event to decide what you can do beyond the hour.
Wear it bright
Stand out in the dark by raiding your wardrobe and digging out your brightest and most colourful clothes. You could hold a competition amongst your friends to see who’s best dressed on the night or bring WWF’s Earth Hour into your office or school with a bright cake bake off or ‘wear it bright’ day.
