I Bike London ‘Earth Hour Wear it Wild Night Ride’
Join I Bike London for an Earth Hour Night Ride
For this year’s Earth Hour, I Bike London will be holding a special Night Ride event on Saturday 19th March in London. Interested? Then read on!
At I Bike London we all love cycling, and we do it for lots of reasons; it’s fun, healthy and definitely beats sitting on a bus all day. Cycling is also great for the environment, contributing to cleaner air, reducing emissions and our carbon footprint significantly!
So as we gear up towards our next ride, we thought we’d think about the bigger picture, and bring our ride in line with WWF’s Earth Hour. This global celebration will see iconic buildings all the world switch off their lights for one hour to send a symbolic message to show how much they care about the future of our planet.
IBikeLondon will be spreading the message by hosting a fancy dress Earth Hour Wear it Wild Night Ride! Don’t forget to Wear it Wild and dress up as your favourite endangered animal for our dynamo powered light up disco. Be as playful as a panda, troublesome like a tiger or as greedy as a gorilla!
This is a great opportunity to test out your dynamos with your pedal power, saddle up and spread the word as we ride around London with music booming from our fleet of DiscoBikes.
We’ll be kicking off late afternoon on a radical route around the capital, taking in the sights and sounds ending at Gabriels Warf, Southbank to see the Oxo Tower amongst other buildings switch off at 8.30pm.
