We’re looking for the UK’s Hidden Heroes!

Do you know someone who’s making a difference and taking action to help protect our brilliant planet? Perhaps they’ve campaigned for better recycling facilities in your area, raised funds to install solar panels at your local school, led a new green initiative in your office or simply inspired you to be a bit greener…

We’ve just launched a nationwide search for inspirational people making a difference for the environment in their community, school, youth group or workplace. Hidden Heroes is celebrating these people and the positive actions they’re taking – the winners will be invited to an exclusive Earth Hour ceremony where they’ll be presented with a special award and a £500 cash prize to support a green initiative of their choice.

Hidden Heroes is backed by former England and Chelsea football star Graeme Le Saux, who says “Our planet is brilliant and we want to find the people who are working hard to keep it that way.  We can all do our bit for the environment, it doesn’t matter how big or small a step – as long as it makes a positive difference.  WWF’s Hidden Heroes campaign is looking for amazing eco-champions up and down the country.  So if you know of someone who is making a difference by living a more sustainable lifestyle, or a group who are taking action to campaign on environmental issues, or maybe people at work who simply inspire others to be green, then this is your chance to nominate them.  We want to be able to shout about all the great work they’re doing to make our world a greener place.”

To tell us who you think should be a Hidden Hero, all you have to do is complete our simple online entry form, providing details of your nominated hero and telling us about the positive difference they’ve made.
