Will you #PassThePanda?

Ahead of Earth Hour 2016, our pandas are once again inviting everyone to join the world’s biggest celebration for our planet. Our cuddly friends are on a mission to visit as many people as possible in the run up to this year’s celebration on Saturday 19 March, 8.30pm.

The question is, how far can our pandas go? Here’s how you can join the fun…

Share a #PassThePanda panda selfie!

Sky Sports ‏@JoWilsonTV and @jimwhite

Hundreds of pandas are travelling the country, each with a special message asking people to take a ‘panda selfie’ and share @wwf_uk together with #PassThePanda #EarthHourUK before passing the panda on to friends, family and colleagues.

No panda, no problem? You can still take a panda selfie. Whether you have your own cuddly panda, a panda onesie, spot a panda pic or simply get creative – from face-painting, origami, knitting, baking…it’s all about panda love!

We can’t wait to see what you get up to. You could get a personal panda message as a special thank you.

Add a panda to your Twitter bio!

Go the extra mile to show your support by adding a panda to your Twitter name. It’s super easy:

1) Simply copy this panda emoji
2) On Twitter, click the ‘Edit profile button’ on your profile page
3) Paste the emoji at the end of your name. You can also add #PassThePanda to your Twitter bio too so people know you’re joining in
4) Then click save changes! All done.

Who’s joining in?

Pandas are taking over! Here are just a few of our favourite selfies and posts so far, can you spot yours?

Look out for Sky celebrating Earth Hour over the coming weeks with Sky’s presenters joining in the fun and passing the panda too!

Stay tuned. There's lots more to come...

We’ll be sharing more exciting panda treats with you leading up to Earth Hour from free Facebook and Twitter backgrounds, great panda pics and facts to easy crafting ideas, and you might even see a panda surprise popping up in town or city near you!
